Another newbie URL question

Ok... One more.
Assume that I'm trying to optimize a page for 3 keywords.
They are:
Electrician Miami
Electrician dade
Electrician palm

Do I get any SEO love if the page URL is:
Domain/electrician-miami-dade-palm.html

or am I completely fracked and need a single page per keyword?

Put your primary keyword phrase in your title tag and incorporate it into your description tag.

Now write your article. Then include keyword phrases in your article.

Just name your page appropriately. Software like wordpress will name the page and insert the hypens for you. Too many hypens looks bad.

Now for the real secret. The VAST MAJORITY of keyword ranking takes place OFF YOUR SITE. The real job is getting incoming text links from high authority sites, and on high authority pages to link back to you with your keyword phrases in the anchor text.

I think that using keywords in URL will not help much. Its importance is little compared to other things, like the title tag and the content you have on the page. I suggest you choose the URL that will best suite the page and is helpful for the visitors of your site.

It would be best to do single keyword per page like you suggest but not necessary. Google can figure it out if you blend the keywords in properly. Think hour glass for your content. Keyword heavy at the top. A little in the middle, and then a lot more at the bottom.

 

electrician-miami-dade-palm.html would help your seo, but the words make no sense, I would recommend having your domain name reflect your website rather than stuffing it with keywords.

 

I Agree - you should still try to target your URLs to specific searches though. This will highlight keywords in the SERPs thus increasing CTR.

yes that is the best way to write your URL! It is impossible and spammy to create a different page for each individual keyword since you wont be able to create useful unique content for each of them. The approach of including all the keywords in the same page is the way to go and make sure that you include them in your Title Tag, content, inner links and backlinks.

As far as link building it will be easier to build them with single keywords that make sense (Not Electrician Palm but Miami Electrician and Palm Dade Electrician, etc).
