    Hi all,

Joined DP over a year ago but never really got into it. I need some header graphics done but I believe I need a minimum number of posts before I can ask for them to be done.

So apologies in advance for the blatant posting I'll be doing over the next couple of days (hey I don't make the rules).

I will try and post something worthwhile whenever possible though.

Anyway a little about me. I've been involved with websites since 2004 and my one natural talent is PPC advertising which I've done professionally in the past. Started doing PPC for a mortgage website I owned and was making loads of money at it till Google got wise to a lot of the clever things I was doing. That experience gained got me a contract with a one of the UK's biggest car insurance companies managing their huge PPC campaigns on a contract basis for over 6 months.

Sadly I had to train one of their employees on my techniques and eventually put myself out of work. I owned and ran a successful eCommerce website for a couple of years and flipped it. Now I'm into Amazon.

I am currently work on several Amazon review sites and plan to get 10 or 20 up and running ASAP.

This is the saddest story I ever heard from a professional point of view. It is true that when you work on a contractual basis, you are obliged to teach one of the regular employees and by the time they know everything, your contract ends. This is how companies maximize their talents and I hope you didn't share everything as in 100% of your techniques. And one lesson learned, should you need to teach another person, make sure that leave something confidential within yourself so you still have the reason to demand from your work.

Regarding the employee I taught him everything he knows about PPC, but I didn't teach him everything I know! :)
