    Hello,

I'm new here after reading a few days. I've owned a few simple websites in the past and all of them had good traffic. I never tried to earn a dime off of them, but now I have an idea I believe I can make a living from. The problem is that is has been 10 years since I have had a site! Lots of things have changed in that time. All my sites were simple HTML and PHP and I've even forgotten all of that now. My last site was hacked and I could not recover it. I need to avoid that this time.

So topics that I will start will be asking for help. LOL

Anyway, this seems to be a nice site and I look forward to learning to build a website and market it again.

Try to invest something first. So your first steps are investing in domain name and site hosting. But before these steps, think a lot about the niche (theme) of your site. Also, here you have a massive amount of information about websites, money, advertising, etc etc so if I were you I'd better stick around. Cheers and hope you have a nice time here! Enjoy!

After reading the Intro Rules I wanted to add some stuff (the rules sound mean although I haven't seen that here). LOL

I am in my 40s, I own an off-line business right now, haven't had "payroll deductions" since 2003. I'm from the USA (Texas) and chose to join this community because there seems to be people here that could help me (knowledgeable people here). I look forward to being schooled in online design and programming. I hope members here are willing to help.

Thanks Luka Vidovic! I have the niche and still understand the domain and hosting. I agree there is massive amount of info about websites which is why I joined here. I hope to stick around to learn as things have changed so much since I use to have websites. Even back then I only had easy HTML and PHP which I don't even understand those now. Thanks for the welcome!!!
