Another New Venture...To Be Documented

I purchased a great domain name and I am actually developing this website with another member on DP as a mutual effort. I am keeping Amazon proceeds but we will be splitting Adsense proceeds.

    http://goodskincare.info

I have built quite a few successful online mini-ventures in the past that bring in a decent amount of money. However, I want this one to be documented, from day 0 to day X, the day it is bringing in a decent amount. If everything works out well, I would like to create a book (not ebook) on this, as well as credit the DP community and I will jump through the hoops to get it published on Amazon.

I am hoping that by sharing this online venture process with the DP community, it will help entrepreneurs get a better "feel" for generating money via their websites.

Day #4 Update: Website is Indexed

I have built successful online ventures in the past. I am working with another DP member on a new venture, to build a profitable website from scratch. However, the steps / secrets / techniques involved will be "open source" to the DP community.

    1. We contextually embedded the website into blogs from blogsearch.google.com -We posted our URL on roughly 200-250 blogs on Day 2.
    2. We also submitted the website to Digg.com, StumbleUpon, and Wikipedia (under Wine but it got removed).
    3. We submitted the website to Google and now on Day 4, it has been indexed and it is now searchable if you type in the full URL. Obviously, we want it to be searchable through keywords, but this is a good start.

Day #5 Update: Google Adsense Revenue Up to $4, Secondary Pages Indexed As Well

I have seen peers on DP that have websites for several months, that make less than $0.50/day. I hope this will both inspire and be educational to DP members who work hard but have not earned the rewards for their hard work. This website has been up for 5 days and here are the results:

(Gosh, I hope sharing this much information is okay with Adsense...I tried to censor out all the information that may compromise Google's Adword customers)

    http://www.google.com/#hl=en&safe=off&q=goodskincare.info&aq=f&oq=&aqi=&fp=ZO8ybyw6VGE
Now we are starting to get the other pages indexed on Google.

Vitali (sachinkumarmq), absolutely, I want to openly share my techniques and strategies with the community:

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Day 5, we got 95 unique visitors.
Now obviously, this may go down, but this looks like a good start.

I hope this gives insight on what we are doing so far. (keep in mind this is day 5)

Just one point, you main referrer seems to be the wikipedia talk page on Michael Jackson. Not the best marketing tactic. But good luck with your site anyways.

CoolOrangeFreeze, not a problem. If you or anybody else have any questions, feel free to ask me here or via PM.

mediarosh, I think Jake made a post on there. ButI do not see that hurting us.

Sceso, thank you for your vote of support.

    Strategies and Tactics
    1. I started out by copying and pasting some random articles from a college database that is not indexed. I did this instead of copying and pasting online articles because I do not want Google to label it as duplicate content. Keep in mind that I put everything in quotes and displayed the source. Also, I will replace these pages once I write my own, but in the meantime for search engine indexing purposes, I have these up.

    2. I did some basic research and went with a product to promote, I chose Proactive. I made up some fake testimonials for the time being to persuade people to buy. However, once I get real customers, I will replace the fake testimonials with real ones. "Fake it till you make it."

    3. I downloaded some Youtube videos, slapped the website URL on them and re-uploaded it. I choose celebrity endorsements because they will rack up a bunch of views on Youtube. I only did the ones that uses Proactive because I figure they would not mind, because I am promoting their product anyways. If they notify that they do not want us to do that, I will remove them asap.

Why don't you offer a skincare rebill product like resV instead? It should have a payout of about $35 instead of the adsense and amazon pennies youre earning.

Wow! Ironman you truly live up your name :D.
What an awesome way to build your traffic up and like the way you use your strategies.

Come to think of it, I wonder if that was the same as Robert Kiyosaki 'Rich man, Poor dad'? Fake it until you make it.

I will keep in touch very soon.

Damn! I didn't think it was that soon :D.
Ironman, your site ranked 2 out of 121,000. My friend, that is very impressive in short amount of time.
I am now following you on twitter, so I can see more magic :).
