Congrats on hitting $5000 in just one month. But some of us have been trying to even get a fraction of tht for years. I guess I have not been promoting enough.

 

As a Publisher or Advertiser in this case? Sorry but im new to it. Anyway good one

What did you mean about "it costs a few hundred bucks to actually get the right site up,and running for You"?

Did you buy ads on the social network sites?

Its good to have the right website/blog niche,and its gunna take some time to get rolling.
I never bought 1 ad anywhere, I spent my money on the site,and my time = $$

 

@webtechnologies so what was the time duration from setting the site up to hitting the current revenue of $5k per month

 

a Good 4 -6 Months of steady promotion,and site building.
It sure doesnt happen overnight.

You just need to never give up,and try harder when you feel like giving up.

I have used CJ for about 3 years but just using the odd advert or two on about 6 sites which has been very good but i have just setup a dedicated iphone case and accessory site using solely CJ and also a few adsense adverts its still early days yet but the early indications are looking very good.

Shoud I try and focus on a specific product or take a whole range of products?
For example should I just focus on for example the Alienware m11x or should I just make a website / blog about laptops in general?

I hope this isn't too dumb of a question, but I really appreciate your time if you could help me out. I just started CJ tonight and am having trouble getting my unique sales link. I've gone to >get links > by relationship > selected view links from my advertiser > Then it gives me a list to chose from banners, etc. I just want a basic link. Is that HTML or text link? When I highlight the code it gives me :

@webtechnologies: First off, congratulations on your achievement! You've been bombarded with so many questions in this thread and I noticed you're replying to only a few. I hope you answer mine, but I'm in no hurry

I'm from India. How severely will that affect my earning chances? I've spent a few days on CPALead and the offers for India were either low-paying or required the visitor to download a software, and actually caused loss in traffic! So do you think being from India will ruin my chances of a decent earning from CJ?

You may have a point,Im not so sure what You are promoting, but depending on the company You are promoting, you may see a slight change in the way they look at commissions coming from india, because all companies have different business practices,and there is no way to know , i would suggest having a relationship with the affiliate manager of that affiliate that you are marketing,and making sure he understands that you are not using fraudulent ways of earning commissions.

and then You promote the website using means of social networking,and more.
