(Another) Meta tag Query

    Hi All,

I've read through some of the previous threads on meta tags, but can't seem to find a definitive answer (if I've missed it, apologies).

Are (title) tags the same as (h1) tags?

I know h1 tags are important meta tags for Google to pick up on, but when I view my source codes for my blog all of my posts use the title tags, i.e.

(title) Title Of My Blog Post (/title)

Are these the same as h1 tags, or should I look into using a plug-in for specific h1 tags?

    Thanks in advance,

    John.

No john title tags and h1 tags are different...................

Title Tag: Title tag represent you web page. It represents what is your page theme. Actually what you have in your page? What are you offering by this page whatever it's products, services, advices etc............

H1 Tags: H1 tags represent your page(Page Content) heading. It tells a page content started from here. It also shows relevancy to your page content. That's why it is important in seo bcoz it tells to spider how relevant this heading is relevant to your page content.....................

    Thanks for the reply schgrv,

So what you're syaing is that for each and every blog post / article I create, I should be using both the (title) tags and the (h1) tags?

For example, if one of my blog posts title was "My Title For My Article", then I have title tags wrapped around this phrase. If I'm reading this correctly, I should also create h1 tags, wrapped around the same phrase?

schgrv is right. and yes you should use both of them. title for your site and use H1 or other heading attribute so if your site is crawled by the spider he will know what is your site all about and if it is relevant to your content. you may write this in the beginning of your article and use heading attribute or you can do it like you said if you can access the html of your blog.

Title tag defines your page but h1 tags defines heading.
