I think the site is still in the sandbox. Its been almost six months since it went up. Google still reports only 2 backlinks. Other links I know of including almost all the directories i've submitted to and pages from dp are shown as "mention". Does this sound like sandbox behavior? Google is not even reporting internal links right now? The site still ranks for what I would call un-competative keywords but not in top 1000 for the main keywords, even 3 and 4 word phrases. It does pretty well in msn but not google or yahoo. Any help would be appreciated as I am having trouble even making enough to pay the hosting bill!
Why so many keywords? I check the keyword for "game rental" at http://www.nichebot.com/o/?term=game+rental . I suggest you create a page with title "video game rental" ( NOT "video game rentals" - notice it's plural) and just concentrate on that phrase on the links for that particular page. The keyword should only be "video game rental" and "online game rental". That's all. Just 2 keywords and a tiitle matching the keyword exactly. Make sure your links have the keyword video game rental as well.. Optimizing page when you have about 2 million other rival pages is not that difficult, imho. Just do it right. looking at "video game rental" keyword and seeing only 164,000 rivals wiith the exact heading and 1,157,940 counts makes my mouth water. I can tell you it's not that difficult, but the demand is so high .. i'm thinking of creating a site like yours ( just kidding ) I'm in sandbox as well but i just concentrate on yahoo and msn at the moment. These engines will help a lot. Again, i am emphasizing this fact. When you have only 2 million rival pages, it's not that difficult to get good ranking ( but it may depends on the keyword ). Don't stuff too many keywords. Only 2 or 3. Oh! make sure your description has your keyword too. Hope that helps! p/s google does not care about your keyword and description tags.
