Another Logo for Review

i was asked to create a logo for a online think tank called Imaginarium. the teams tagline was Thinking Outside The Box.

This is the design i submitted and just waiting for them to get back to me.

i would love your thoughts on the design.

ive only been doing logos for about 4 months so still have lots to learn

I did a demo banner to go with it what do you think?

 

The black banner has something good going for it. For some reason when I saw the first image I didn't think much of it, but as part of the banner, I think everything flows great together.

 

Thank You. yeah i agree and most keep saying that without black it looks like an 80s film fictionalcorporation logo

 

I like this a lot, I would make the logo a little lighter if its going to be on black otherwise I find it gets a little lost.
