Here's another little thing I noticed with my own sites that has brought me in extra money. I've done other posts on giving money away and immediate gratification, but here's something else that fits both of those that virtually anyone here could do depending on your niche. For one of my sites, I tested something that's comparable to a rebate. This is nothing new, as I've done that before. But here's the interesting part... I've noticed that several people who use my service and go for the rebate often purchase it with a credit card or bank loan and don't plan on paying for everything all at once (that doesn't bother me, as they don't physically buy anything from me). To them, when they receive a rebate from me of $50 to $200 or more dollars, they view that as immediate real money ... because it is. If I offered a discount of $50 to $200 (which I've tested before), the people who plan for paying for everything upfront view that as ten times better than the direct rebate. However, people who pay for it without planning on paying it all off at once view the rebate as MUCH better than the discount offer. Both of these cost me the same thing, but the difference can double my sales on that site depending upon who I market to and how. I just thought that was another interesting observation to point out in case any of you can apply the same thing. Looking at how your visitors/clients/customers pay for their things and how likely they are to pay off everything at once or slowly over time is huge. This definitely doesn't apply to every niche out there, but I know it can apply to at least some. Brian
