Recently I purchased a Sony Handycam video camera. It records as a MPG format, when I import into my computer, I can view them via Windows Media Player after installing the codec, however when I try to edit it using Microsoft Movie Maker, I can only hear the voice, can't see the video at all, do I miss anything?

    Thanks

Maybe try Gspot to find out exactly what codec the file requires.

what version of windows we talking about cause I had a simalir issue with Vista not playing the video in movie maker, and using ac3 codecs made no difference what so ever then i found vista codecs and it worked great.
so if you are using Vista go here:
    http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Vista_Codec_Package.htm

And even if your not using Vista I'm sure if you look around that site you'll find the codec you need.
