Another great mod from Dargre

I just had Dargre install his news mod on the Ultimate Directory List

this is yet another great mod from an excellent creator

here is the first news i posted on a new niche directory

works pretty much like a blog

 

yeah very good addition especially as comments have to be approved by admin

 

I have to agree with you, I had some work carried out by Dargre a couple of days back; I’m very impressed with the quick professional service.

i think a thread announcing this mod was started by dagre long ago - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=548705&highlight=dagre

so i dont get the purpose of this thread ?? are you trying to announce that you got the new mod ?? WRONG Category ??

or are you just trying to put your link in there and hope you get clicks ?

 

I really can't see the difference between the article feature and this mod other than the "leave a comment" part.

Can someone tell me what's the extra benefit of installing this mod?

Look at your plain articles, compare URLs and titles.
Can be whatever you wish.
With small code more metas for keywords and description possible.
Also comments - yes they make it LIVE!
And creates easy access to monthly archived news served from homepage.

I didn't ask for any feedback - never do.
I think choice is satisfied and wish to share good news.

a great tool, and one we also have up and running ( soon ) but i have turned comments off, as it can leave it open for abuse. ( i tried some nasty words and they all popped up ) but i might attach a email reply and list it if good or there may be an approval for the comments section ? will need to look.

Dagree does it have a xml / rss attached to the mod ?

 

Yeah, will think of rss in next version.
In my news configuration there's a list where you can enter words to be filtered out from comments.
And there's another anti-spam small thing inside of php.
As far - didn't receive even one spammy comment.
Small chance for abusing your mail-box.
And of course no way to be published as each comment require admin acceptance.
