Actually an awareness of the government's repeated crimes against the constitution and our most basic freedoms.

They've already had 2 of their programs struck down as unconstitutional. They've already arrested and imprisoned american citizens without charging them for crimes. Spying on library and medical records... locking up senior citizens for telling jokes. How far does it have to go before some of you wake up?

I'm interested in what freedoms we lost too. As far as I can tell, we're just as free today as we were in 1999. Unless you feel like running through an airport screaming something about Jihad.

I don't mind debating someone with a different point of view than my own. It keeps perspectives in...well, perspective. I don't think yo-yo is a bad guy, just a little disillusioned and ill-informed. I don't mean anyone bad wishes. It's great to see lively discussion anywhere. I do apologize for allowing my own posts to dip below the civility line.

OT: GTech, does your name mean "Georgia Tech?" My GF goes to Ga State so I'm in Atlanta a good bit. We should meet up for a beer and talk SEO sometime.

Yo has no idea what freedom he's lost. He steals his freedoms off the backs of others and uses that very freedom to trash his country and anyone who loves it.

No need to apologize. Most of us that listen to his whining and crying about how bad America is and how great terrorists are, are enjoying what your comments.

I took the moniker on from a product called GTech. It's a cool product I used to test quarter mile times in my Corvette (don't have the Vette anymore). Long story, but that's where it comes from.

Proud of what? That some of our constitutional rights (at least this one) are still being upheld?

Some of you, like sd2001, and compuxp would like to destroy yet another one of our protected constitutional freedoms.

Defacing means there's still a flag left. Burning means there's no flag left to deface. There is a difference :D Apparently at your intelligence level you do not understand this yet.

It's pretty sad that it has come to all of that. You can thank our Muslim buddies, start right here on DP. Thanks to them, we are losing our rights as well. Oh nevermind: you're using this to blame Bush, right? Silly me ... it was all unrovoked, and Bush is an evil man who orchestrated 9/11 so he can control us. Praise Allah

The program targeted terrorists, so is that who your "our" is?

I suppose you like crooked biased liberal judges who failed to disclose conficts of interest too?

"our" as in "we the people" and "foriegn terrorists too?"

you are calling me onesided? Everything thrown at you turns into something that Bush "did to us". Who started it and when? What did your homie Clinton do when Bin Laden delcared war? Nothing. Now you're blaming Bush on how he fixes things. At least he doesn't sit back waiting for us to get bombed again.

According to definition, flag desecration includes flag burning. Perhaps you can find a seperate (from reality) definition? I doubt it ... still no definitions that include fetuses and embryos as children either.

I don't know where this quote came from compu, but who ever said obviously needs to refer themselves to what declaring war actually means.

Seems republicans and conservatives like to ignore the meanings of words and use them any way they wish to further push their own agenda onto others. Seems like it's working well on compu ;)
