Another duplicate content question - but slightly different

I have a phpBB forum and a WP blog. The concept for the forum is slightly different, as I use it as an index for author profiles and place to post content like book reviews and author interviews. There's no real community.
I post the reviews and interviews on both sites. Is that bad? Should use the forum only for the author profiles and the blog only for the content? I've been thinking about doing it that way anyway. However, if leaving it the way it is creates problems it's a no brainer to switch.

    Thanks for the input.

What I would do is use the blog for the content and a fixed number of comments per blog entry, then use the forum to "continue the conversation" - sort of how TechCrunch handles its blog and forum. Are your blog and forum on the same site or are they on different sites?

I'd also keep the author profiles on the blog if possible (author pages), and then set up a usergroup and a special board for authors to collaborate with one another on the forum away from prying eyes and those others who don't need to know what's going on behind the scenes.
