Another Directory to Submit to

Hello -

I just wanted to post yet another directory to add your site to. This is very basic because I am using it for SEO tests. Although it will probably stay pretty stripped down for a while, it will be very heavily optimized over the next 6 months as I test different techniques (all white hat).

Anyway it is Kwik Goblin , and all I ask is that you NOT link to it. I want to build up the listings but want to control the IBL's somewhat over my first test of the next six months.

Cool. Ya might want to give some hints on how to format the keywords. I space seperated them, but wasn't sure if they should have been comma seperated.

 

I added alternative health although if a category isn't present, I usually add it when the submission is made.

Submitted my site. How do we know when the site gets listed? There was no input for emails.

Right now submissions are accepted or rejected within 12 hours so just search for your domain in that time...But email will be added at a later date (I have purposely kept it out for a test).

Its funny that no matter how stripped down a site is there are always thing to fix/tweak

I added the note that they should be space separated (thanks matts) - Im thinking I should have submitted it to Web Site Review lol

How do I submit my site? I only see a search box, 2 <hr> and the "powered by" notice...

 

Its possible you aren't seeing the site yet...I had to change the nameservers yesterday and there might be a few places that still get the old site. Try refreshing tommorow and you will most likely see it.

Just submitting a few sites. Any chance of a Movies and Television category in the shopping? You have one for music and movies would capture the DVD sales sites.

Just found the movies category under Arts so don't worry.

 

I added a Movies section in shopping and moved the site there.

It is a common thing though that people place e-commerce sites in regular categories because they are related. I always figure that if its shopping it should go under shopping and in this instance Arts->Movies might be for sites that are dedicated to a movie etc.

You appreciate how hard it must be for DMOZ to assign appropriate categories to listings, when you have a directory because it is so subjective.
