Yep, after further investigation I found that my 40%+ CTRs weren't only because of the short 250-300 word articles and simple as hell resource boxes... I discovered that on the articles with the highest CTR I had done something else... Double Resource Boxes. In essence, you give them two chances to click through. If they don't want to the first time, you hit 'em again. If you double the times your reader gets to click away, you double the clicks. Makes sense, right? As I'm a big fan of forum marketing, I also posted a more elaborate explanation on my blog with examples and the whole shaboodle, so feel free to check that out as well. Clickety Click It's a more detailed explanation if you want one, but the essence of it is covered in this post. The CTR Monster, signing off but not really. Linus
I am not doing double resource box, however, I am using your another method, when the resource box is kinda like the end of an article. I think it has to work great. I hope to see good results soon
I just started doing something similar and seems to have helped. A bit different than yours and I will try what you recommended on your blog as well to test it out. Example: Click here now to get hot chicks!
Oohh that's nice, I usually put the anchor text I want my landing page to rank for though. I do put two links, as it's a double box so I might just try that out, thanks.
Cool linus... I don't do this.. but I have used the bio as the last paragraph for a long time and that works extremely well Jay
