When I checked link popularity this morning. I noticed that Google updated my backlinks again. Note that I just started so do not laugh at my results but yesterday I only had 5 backlinks and now they are showing 17. They visited me much more often than they are used to do yesterday too Danny
yap... me too.. i got 348 from 183 yesterday... Is the update not yet over? Ive read in the other thread that the update done by google is compose of 3 stages and we are in the 1st stage.. Is this true? what are this stages?
I checked the Google Directory today and the directory and PR just updated for my sector. -sports related- Last update (not that long ago) I went from 0 to 5 PR, then it followed through to the toolbar. Now a major shake up, I went from position 8 to 13 but for the first time "ever" the top two players got shifted out - never seen before! So this update is shifting even the most fixed no#1 and no#2 sites. the new no#1 has yahoo BL 860 msn BL 3028 the old no#1 has yahoo BL 38000 msn BL 11072 So is PR not the PR it once was - maybe its heading for TR? or something else. I always thought PR directly reflected numbers of BL...
My backlinks are up from yesterday, also some of my keywords that completely gone of the radar, are now back to second page Google.
I think its not... i think we are only at the second stage..... there are many flux to come in the comming weeks
what stages are there? I was pretty excited about this one by the way. Although it are just a few backlinks behind my name. It causes me to "win" from 7 of my top 10 competitors. Will this affect my rankings?
My Google backlinks seem way down. The sample - which is all you get from Googel - also seems a lot narrower.
dburdon iám seeing the same thing. My BL went down from 187 to 158. 3 site are responsible for 60% of the BL
My BL also show another move overnight but the most promising thing I'm seeing this morning is that my SERPS's are showing a return to pre-Jagger levels on 2 datacenters - hopefully this is a sign of pleasant things to come as this update continues.
Wow - I went from 88 to 447. But this appears only on a few datacenters. I agree boohlick, many more flucuations to come, this is far from over. But then again, Google seems to be remaining in a constant state of flux to keep all of us in a constant state of fury
I noticed a lot of activity today on the changes in backlinks. I also noticed something strange on 1 of my domains. www.what-the-dickens.com has a PR4 and loads fine http://what-the-dickens.com has a PR6 and doesnt load at all Strange
That looks like a server side configuration problem rather than a SE issue. Have you contacted your webhost about that?
