hello, i have a quick question about backlinks. getting a backlink from every single page of one site is better that just one link from a specific page of that site? i mean, google puts more weight on the number of backlinks to your site or on the number of different domains linking back to your site? also, is it better to get one contextual link (inside an article) than a link in the footer?
Well to start with, it depends on so much, if the website has a number of high pagerank inner-pages, which your backlink would be on, then it can increase your SERP ranking a lot, but going with different domains makes it harder to get a large amount of high pagerank backlinks. I'd suggest to you, your build both, that's generally the best way to go about it, you want it too look natural, so go with both types of link building, now about the footer question, I'd say the higher up the link is in a page, the higher quality the link will be, generally footer-links aren't proper-links, the webmaster doesn't intend on a lot of people seeing the link, hence it being on the footer.
