Hello all, I just have a quick question for all of you pros out there. I have been using Adsense for about two months now with minor success so far. However, I have noticed that I have been getting some clicks (not originated by me in any way) that generate $0 earnings, so I am assuming that they are considered to be "invalid" from Google. Is this the case or could it be that Google doesn't pay for all clicks? The reason I am asking is that I have heard of bans from Adsense due to invalid clicks and I wanted to know if there is something I should do about it before it's too late. I haven't hit the $100 payout point yet, so I guess that if there is something going on, I can let Google know about it and I won't have any problems. Is that true or could I be in trouble? What sort of precautions are there to prevent a third party from acting against you and getting your Adsense account banned? For example, at this very moment while I am writing this thread, I can see an ad on the top of the page. If I click this ad a 100 times, then chances are that one of us will get 100 invalid clicks on their Adsense account. If I keep doing that on many sites, then the same will happen to many other accounts. Are all of these accounts threatened by people who might do that just for some laughs? I am anxiously awaiting for your replies on this one since, according to many, Adsense is probably the best ad provider out there and I wouldn't like my account to be at any risk of getting banned. Thanks so much in advance!
Invalid clicks are inevitable and there is very little that you can do about them. Google are pretty good at filtering out invalid clicks, and are fully aware of the potential for anti-competitive practices such as click-bombing occurring. They have measures in place to detect this sort of thing, and to prevent it from unfairly affecting your standing with them. As long as you're in compliance with their terms of service, you shouldn't have any problems.
if you just follow the google TOS, then there is no reason that they will ban you from adsense. dont worry click fraud. if the the click did not come from your own computer then it is ok, google can detect them and identify click fraud..
