Another Adbrite Question!!!

Ok, I just set up my Adbrite account, I'm under the belief that it should be about a week before ads I approve will show (still have that "advertise...").

What I don't get is setting my own price for ads on my site? How and where???Also should I be rejecting these .10$ cpc ads I got I would be hoping to make more per click than that.

The reason I went to Adbrite is because Google booted me!

Any advice would be great thanks much!!!

Adbrite is differnt from google adsense. You can set the parameters while setting up an adzone. If you dont like the $0.10 network ads, you can opt out. Evn if you opt in, there is no guarantee that your banner space will show an ad.

Adbrite is basically a mediator for advertiser to target a site. Unless you have a very popular site, there is very less chance of someone using the 'advertise on --" link and putting an ad specifically for your site. if you dont want the network ads and you are not very popular, you will most likely earn ZERO. I have a forum with few million page views a month, where I am running adbrite for few months. Never got any request to advertise on my site. Making some $$(almost 20% of what adsense used to pay) by network ads, even after using interstetials etc.

If you are using the network ads, you will want to uncheck the auto-approve option on them in your adzone. It is at the bottom of one of the tabs in your adzone, but I don't remember which offhand. That way, you can only approve the ones that fit with your niche and that pay at least .50 a click. And, in my opinion, if it takes more than a few day for ads to start showing up, you should call them (emailing them takes weeks for a reply). It should only take a day or two for ads to start showing up. Hope that helps a little!

These are the posts that kill me.

    1. He said he was booted from adsense, so it is useless to advice him to go to adsense. It is like you didn't bother to read his post.

    2. What the heck does your 750,000 = $130 have to do with his adbrite questions?

    3. What does your lost check have to do with anything.

What am I missing or is this a 100% useless post?

Definitely call, they are usually helpful. If you are waiting for network ads to appear, make sure you filled out all the descriptions about your site - so that they can provide the correct ads. I think it was called tags. Anyway, if you leave it blank, you will get no ads.

If you approved ads last Friday and they are still not showing, you will want to call them and see what the problem could be. It should only take a day or two for ads to start showing. Don't email them because I've had to wait up to TWO weeks for a reply. And as others have said, experiment with your tags and other info the for ad zone to make sure you get the kind of ads you want. Hope this helps...

I had the same problem with Adbrite. I approved the ads and it took almost a week for ads to show. In the meantime they display "Powered by Adbrite" for your visitors to see. When ads do show you don't get anywhere near the CPM that the ad is supposed to pay. If you choose an ad with a CPM of $0.75 or a CPC of $0.50, you actually get $0.04 per click even if you have high traffic site. Adbrite is a rip off!
