Anonymous PayPal Donation - Possible?

I intend to donate money to a PayPal recipient and I would like to know if i can do so anonymously. I am only asking, cause I just wish for my personal details (full name, residence, etc) not to be disclosed, in the transaction information towards to other party.

So could someone inform me if what I require is possible? Thank You. :)

I don't think that you can send money via paypal and protect your info... if you already have received some payment you should have seen that the info is always shown... maybe there is some option on your paypal acc?????

I haven't found any option for that. If paypal can't do it, what other ways are there for me to make payments in form of donation with no information being shown? Can i send money form my credit card directly for example, but with no info being shown to the reciepient?

Send cash. There is no way to make an anonymous electronic payment. The main reason is that a system that supported such practices would become a money laundering haven. There is no such thing as anonymous when it comes to electronic transactions. Someone is accountable at every step of the process, in Paypal, and every other system.

Send them how? I'm on a different continent to deliver them at hand, and western union makes you pay for paying, plus it needs lots of working days for money to arrive.

Money laundering scenarios never crossed my mind tbo, i mean you may be right it's just that i didnt think of it as a reason for not being able to send money electronically, but who would choose to launder them into small donations. The system is flawed, i mean they could choose to allow you to send up to a certain amount, let's say 50-100 USD with no information necessary.

So what would you suggest i'd do more specifically?

As sanil said, use a friend's Paypal account. Other then that, your information will be visible, either via Credit Card or via Paypal (or other site). This is a method of protecting both Paypal, the recipient, and you.

It doesn't make sense that you do not wish to disclose your details. A possible solution is just tell them in the note that the donation is a generous gift on your behalf.

You can do one thing, make a new paypal account with fake details and all stuff, this is against paypal TOS but may work, then from ur current account, transfer a few funds to the new account, then use the new account to donate...then they cant "really" know who sent it...it'll be a fake name they'll see...or u can use name "Secret Confidential" :p

Don't mind it if i just gave a pretty stupid idea...

Ok i made the payment and i think that the details were not shown. I'm not sure though but when i borwsed the payment sent and checked the details i didnt see anywhere my name or my address unlike a donation i made 3 years ago. Not sure though if the recipient could se them on the payments recieved tab.

Anyway though, one other thing. I have registered 2 email addresses. One used for the login, and one for paypal to contact me which is my personal one. It seems that whenever i make payments either from ebay or even the one i made today, people respond to my formal personal email which i also dont want. How can i make it that only paypal knows and uses this email?
