When creating an IM business with many different specific niches, should the creator of all of these different niches try to use a specific business name for each seperate niche website or just use his/her name for all of these niches together? I ask this because what if I was to have information to sell on the niche of Fly fishing and have another niche where I'm selling info on tips for Dreamweaver. If I used the same name for both niches and someone googled me, they might be turned away from buying from me if they saw all of these different sites popping up under my name. How would I establish myself in the online community with specific, yet different niches, but not cause that confusion? Does one use corp. intities instead? How is everybody doing it? thanks
I think the corporate name could work...I don't sell anything specifically so I use my name on everything. brandon
I understand what you mean and have seen it as a problem before. I remember in the past a webhost who also was a member of a fish aquarium site, and it seemed to hurt his credibility some. However I am sure it could work the other way as well. The other option is to always go by your first name and last names first letter on the net, then no one knows if you are the same person. If you mean for domain names then yes niche specific domains are a positive I think.
I would agree - use different domain names but possibly in the footer say it is part of ABC LLC. And then you have a "main" site that possibly gives a bit more information on yourself / company
