Hello One of my website register anomaly in SERP. It have PR4, more than 500 links indexed by Google and weaker than me competitors, but maximum that it can get is #32 in Google.co.uk. It is real enigma for me. Does anybody have an idea what can cause this ?
interesting... I would recommend a few changes... Add a bit more text to the homepage. And for every internal link of the site that points to the homepage, make the anchor text "Display Cabinets". Also, where is your site hosted? If it is not hosted in the UK that could be part of your problem. Incidentally, you are ranking #7 in google.com look for yourself: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Display+Cabinets&btnG=Google+Search ...you must be doing something right.
Website is hosted in UK. In any other SE website is in TOP 10 with more than 20 competitive keywords. In Google.co.uk it have high rank for all other keywords that we target, but this one, with that weak competitors and that much link building cant move more than 2nd page position #18 and after 2 days it drops again.
Very interesting... I havent done much SEO for other countries so I am a bit at a loss here. Perhaps the TLD has something to do with it. Maybe you need a .co.uk domain to rank better in the google.co.uk 9 out of the 10 on the first page have a .co.uk domain. Perhaps you need to get one. Thats all i can think of....
I feel your frustration. I have the same situation where my PR5 website is lower in ranking than a PR0! There were some speculations like content quality, relevancy etc. But when I showed an example, nobody made any comment from thereon. Apparently, the condition could not be explained. What I did was to find another example where a PR5 site was being outranked by a PR0 site. Here I searched for "top tennis shoes".
