Annoying advertiser

So, on my site there was this advertiser who targetted my site, though his ads was fraudulent in the terms of the EULA of the game my site is about, also he takes payment for some ingame movies which is copyright infringement.

I ofcourse blocked his site, but later he was back, with a new URL, i blocked that also, but as it takes 4-6 hours for google to update their datacenters he gets lots of impressions and many clicks before his ads are blocked and not shown on my site.

Today he was back again, new URL, i blocked and waited, and just as his ads disappeared he was back yet again with another URL.

All his URL's are just redirects to his main site (the first site i blocked).

Funny (sad?) thing is that when i first blocked his main site, before he started "haunting" my site with his targetted ads, he offered me $1,000.00 if i would let his AdWords ads show on my site, simply unblock them, i turned him down and said no, as his site is somewhat fraudulent and that my visitors (and myself) dont like his ads.

Today i had to remove my google ads from my site, because he keeps haunting with new URL's i have to block, meaning he would get thousands of impressions and hundreds of clicks before his new URL is blocked.

I contacted google about it today (before removing my ads, and before the second time today he haunted my site) and told them the story, i'm now waiting for a reply from google on the matter, i asked them if there was anyway to block that particular advertiser or if they had a way to do it.

Have any of you guys experienced anything similar ?
What can google do in this situation ?

You do know that you can opt out of site targeting without removing Adsense, don't you?

i think mindbuster just wants to block that particular advertiser rather than turning off the option entirely. perhaps s/he's getting good eCPMs from the other (honest) advertisers.

No, i werent aware of that, where do i do that ?
I can only find "Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up" which is the "advertise on this site" link below the ads, but would that keep someone from targetting directly from their AdWords account ?

Anyways, his ads would show anyway, just not as big targetted ads which show most of the time, i need a way to block him completely.

you just answered your own question. :)
therefore you wouldn't want to turn off Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up.

    sorry i can't help. :(

You can block site targeted advertising from appearing, but you need to contact AdSense support to do it, and have a good reason for why you want it :)

You also mention all his URLs are redirecting to his main site. Check with the AdWords support as well with the URLs in question, the advertiser could be violating the AdWords URL link policies as well.

Yeah, well he said he was going to remove adsense altogether, so I was thinking, baby...bathwater...

Of course Jen is right, he may be violating adwords TOS with the redirects. Actually, If his display url has absolutlely nothing to do with where his ads end up leading you (DON'T CLICK TO FIND OUT) then he certainly is.

I was wondering: if it is possible to block an advertiser on an account basis, rather than an URL basis. Firstly, it can prevent a jealous competitor from persistently sabotaging your site by buying up all the ads on your site and redirecting it to his, and also prevent this kind of things from happening.

I.E, you don't like this particular advertiser, yet he persistently wants to haunt you, like what happened to MindBuster, you can totally block his account from advertising on your site at all.

Given Google's strict policies governing duplicate accounts, I don't think any trouble-makers are able to wreck havoc for much longer, if this is do-able.

This is something I have requested before, but it is not currently an option for publishers :(

This isn't really true. Sorry, Jenstar (big fan, etc.). All you have to do is email them, tell them you want to opt out. They'll give you the song and dance about why you should stay, but they'll tell you that if you do want out, they'll remove you. Once you reply to this email to confirm that you do indeed want out, they'll take you out. Simple as that. Then, later, when you decide you want in, email them again, and they'll put you back in without a problem.

In the beginning, they definitely needed a good reason - whether any reason would do, I am not sure, bu I am guessing they were using it for the feedback, wanting to know specifically why publishers were wanting to opt-out, so that maybe they could improve on that in the future.

This is insane. The crazy webmaster that keeps advertising on your site must be making a very nice chunk of money from your traffic in order to keep advertising and offer you a thousand dollars. Kind of creepy though.
