Announcing the LandGrab.net Map Design Contest!
LandGrab is an online game similar to the board game RISK. You play multiplayer games against others arond the world. Several of our members are also proud members of Digital Point.

    Deadline: April 18, 5:00pm PST

    Prizes:
    1st place: $200.00 USD + 1 year subscription
    2nd place: $125.00 USD + 1 year subscription
    3rd place: $75.00 USD + 1 year subscription
    4th place: 1 year subscription
    5th place: 1 year subscription

    Rules:

    1) Enter as many maps as you like, but you can only win one prize.
    2) You can revamp/polish existing, unendorsed maps if they're yours or the original author has granted you ownership of the derived work.
    3) You cannot use existing endorsed maps
    4) As with all maps on LandGrab, you will maintain the copyright, and you grant LandGrab unlimited usage of the map for online play.
    5) To submit a map, PM the image to Desau by the above date, along with continent values and any special border/territory details. Desau will keep the maps secret until the 18th of April

The winners of the competition will be decided by the LandGrab community.

Desau had a really hard time judging the competition last time. Afterwards, he realized the best way to do this would be to put the maps up for vote instead of a single judge.

So - here's how this is going to work:
The maps are due April 18th at 5:00pm PST. Desau will then post them all on a webpage for everyone to see and vote. There will be a period of 1 week for voting, then the winners will be announced on the evening of the 25th of April.

Members of LandGrab will be able to vote for their top 5 maps, in order.

Because the voting will be anonymous, please do not include your name on your map. If you wish, you can send me two versions of the map, one with your name and one without. The named version will be used for games.

Like last year, you're welcome to submit maps early to Desau if you want feedback, however Desau's feedback may not be as useful since Desau will be only one vote among many.

    Have fun & good luck!
