fastreplies - I am glad that you want your site included in my directory. I appreciate it and consider it a compliment that you have submitted twice now.

As I explained to you the first time. I like your directory's design (I am listening to the video there as I write this), but we are a family friendly directory and will not link to sites that contain sitewide links to adult content. I only say this publicly because you have requested a public explanation.

When you remove the sitewide links in your footer to adult only content I will be happy to look at your submissions again.

The submission guidelines clearly state family friendly - there are many directories that will say family friendly and still give the link. We will not link to sites where we find adult only content. We will probably not catch them all as no one is perfect, but when I see adult only content when reviewing a site the link will be rejected.

There were 3 or 4 other directories that had "adult" categories today that I had to reject.

But in general I have approved about 80 of the 88 reviewed thus far. I just returned home to find another 40 or so there and I imagine most of those will also be approved based on previous level of quality submissions today.

I think of family friendly in these terms. How would I feel if my daughter was wandering through my directory and clicked on a link where she could find a sitewide link leading to information on adult bondage and domination.

Sorry if you don't like it fastreplies. I don't like the possibility of a child finding their way to a site on bondage via my directory.

To be completely honest, right now I am sitting on your hosting sites second submission. Deleted from the directory the first time after the scathing email reply you sent after a clear and polite explanation of the rejection on your directory. The input I received from the others who saw that email was to ban your domain, but I chose not to.

I would normally approve your hosting site submission, but this is a free link request and frankly I consider your actions very impolite at best. I will think about it for awhile and maybe others here will have some input on what I should do about the hosting site. Since you requested this to be public.

To be perfectly clear about my “impolite” email, I never insulted you and furthermore there is nothing in my email that reasonable person would place on the same line with impolite or ill minded.

If how I defined to you Primary Function of Directories in your opinion is impolite that is because you think that I tried to domineer your intellectual capacities. You’re wrong because all I tried to do is to explain to newly minted, 2 month old directory owner, in age of Internet, that we (directories) are Internet’s Yellow Pages and nothing more or less. I should add to my email that we are not in censorship business as well.

Your daughter and my son will find sites you’re trying to hide from them somewhere else regardless if you list our directory or not. You can’t to shield them from every evil in the world no matter how much you try but with your point of view, you surely will present to your daughter bad example: that it’s Ok to be narrow-minded and to ignore Big Picture called “Reality”.

Anyway, feel free to post my email for people to see and to judge for themselves if my message to you happened to be impolite as you’re claiming or you just making groundless accusations.

Prove my being impolite or I will post my email to you and prove that you are a liar.
