    Hi everybody,

My name is Bradley C Hughes, aka BlogAndGrow aka Entregreeneur.

I am a self-employed Internet marketing consultant. I am also a local government Councillor at Randwick City Council, in Sydney, Australia.

When I'm not online or performing Councillor duties, you can often find me yacht racing aboard "Big Blue" on Sydney harbour, racing out of the Cruising Yacht Club Australia (CYCA). Or swimming at Coogee beach, cycling around the eastern suburbs or studying at University of Technology, Sydney.

A potted history of my Internet involvement.

I have been a netizen (Internet citizen) since 1989 (my newbie days) when I was a first year Bachelor of IT student @ UTS. I first participated in online forums on FidoNET BBS systems @ 300 baud in 1988).

My first professional employment as a webmaster was in February 1995 at the University of Technology, Sydney, where I developed the first version of a web site for the UTS Library http://www.lib.uts.edu.au/. No trace of that pre-HTML 1.0 code remains today. Thankfully.

I started an ISP and web development company called Arrakis Internet Services in May-June of 1995. That business was purchased by Sysmark in January 2000.

I bought the clients and services back into Arrakis Internet Services at the end of 2000 and operated it until May 2001. I then resigned from Arrakis Internet Services and continued to do a bit of freelance web work.

I had a hiatus from doing serious web development from mid 2001 to mid 2003.

Then I picked up a project with Greenpeace Australasia, building the TrueFood web site http://www.truefood.org.au/ with Elaine Hill of Freerange Hill doing all graphic design work and James Davidson of Panoramas http://www.panoramas.com.au/ doing a lot of the PHP / MySQL coding.

Since then I have developed a lot of smaller websites for SOHO type clients via my solo business Melange Computing http://www.melange.com.au/ and only one significant e-commerce project.

My latest project was for an Australian company Banalasta, who produce and sell natural personal care, skincare products and organic wines. All free from any harmful chemical ingredients.

I can highly recommend the recently launched Banalasta website http://www.banalasta.com.au/ for their personal care and skincare products, they are excellent.

The Banalasta website was developed in conjunction with Ash Mehta of Mitash Corporation http://www.mitash.com

It's been a while since I have joined an online forum with a serious intention to participate.

Most of my social interaction online lately has been via my participation at Twitter, you can see my page at http://Twitter.com/BlogAndGrow

My personal Entregreeneur blog http://blog.entregreeneur.com was my first WordPress install.

These days I am focusing my blogging efforts on my recently commenced http://BlogAndGrow.com blog.

Today I got my first AdSense click on BlogAndGrow, after setting up AdSense on there a few weeks ago. Just slightly excited about that, but would be more excited if the click had any income attached to it.

Anyone else had clicks on AdSense with $0.00 income? Strange.

Anyway, I am glad to be joining you all at DigitalPoint and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all little by little, as time permits.

    happy regards,

    Bradley C Hughes
