    Google tried and still trying harder to get a grip on social media websites. Facebook is number one because 90% of humans like to waste their time. Once they get it, Google again will be number 1 traffic wise simply because they offer more free tools that actually help productivity instead of writing on other people walls for no reason.

    Facebook will most probably go down the way of myspace. It doesn't provide much of a lasting value. Whereas Google Search is the reason for the internet explosion and people will always be searching for information.
