I noticed that few people here, or elsewhere, noted that today is the anniversary of the first manned moon landing in 1969. I know that most people here are much younger than I am, in fact, most were likely not even born at the time. Still, it is a bit disappointing that so few people even gave the event a passing thought. It was 41 years ago today but I can still vividly remember, even though I was only 8 years old, eagerly waiting in front of the TV for those grainy black and white pictures from the surface of the Moon.

So, if you are outside tonight look up at the Moon and recall that day in July 1969 when two gutsy guys named Armstrong and Aldrin first stepped out on another world.

I know that most people here were not even born at the time but it was really something back them. Still an amazing feat all these years later.
