Anime Site : Need Opinion

Basically once I get all my placement/etc done, I plan to start posting up a bunch of anime/etc.

I would like to know if I should sell my Xml/Sql (All my post/category/etc) to other and earn extra cash. I would also be building backlinks because of episode summary (has my website link) and might earn some extra cash for host reference. but this might lower my traffic to the people i sell my xml/sql too.

    Or

Should I protect and encrypt my video and monopolize on traffic/clicks. (they wont be able to steal my video off my site and put it on theirs) but then i they wont be able to sell my xml since it encrypt to my site. meaning other url wont work.

Please give me your Opinion :D

Encrypt it and keep it for yourself. You will make more money in the long run

see only problem is also I am not 100% how long the up time/the video encrypt site is.... I can prevent people from taking my video and stuff but if it goes down wont i be boned?

500+ series and like minimal of 26 ep each that ALOT OF Posting lol

Anyone know other video encrypt site so I can compare.

I can just embed the video normally... but then it wont be very appealing and people can autoblog or steal my content.

I can not encrypt my video...... and just do it the normal way and decide to sell or not.... but you know site leeches why come to my website when another site has something similar.

There are already many lists for anime videos that people buy frequently, and import onto their website.

Hiding the list from others won't prevent others from starting their own websites. Theres so many anime site sellers out there.

Sell the anime list, and you can steal the business of other anime video list sellers. Hoarde it, and you won't benefit at all.

Opinions seem to vary quite a bit here. All I would suggest is making detailed financial plans based on your predicted user-base. Then make a judgement based on that.

Not recommended unless you really need the lump sum money.
By doing this will make the content duplicated and this will not bring any good to your site.
Go for the 2nd option coz this will guaranteed long term success and earning.

Thanks for the quick reply. But i usually put a summary at the end of each episode contain a link to my site = Backlink which can help my pagerank if i sell to a lot of people. (massive anime db with my site link over 1000 times lmao.)
