I am thinking of making a slide show story with little animation and sound on each slide... something that you can build easily with Adobe flash. This slide show of mine in some parts of the story has also some multiply options which you can change the story line and finish the story in different ways. I hope this made the idea clear... now I want to know if someone knows a program which I can export this kind of application... of course you can make it with flash but DVD players don't support swf. files. In short: I want something like the movie DVD menus but there will be no movie the menu will continue as animated images in slides which you can go to the next one by pushing the forward button the DVD controller .
Yes, there will be in the future but first I have to know exactly if it is possible to create such thing or not. Thanks
It's fairly simple to create this, depends a bit on what you need, and how much individual animation you need done. If you take out the animation part, this is just a complicated DVD-menu/interactive story (much like many extra-DVDs which are coming with bigger films). Add the animation, and you might need a bit more work done, and slightly better artists (if you're not doing it yourself). But doable? Definitely.
It just doesn't make sense to use a Web Authoring tool that allows you to create Animation based rich internet applications if you're looking to produce a DVD. There are actually simple drag and drop and point and click DVD Authoring tools out there for slide shows. They will even allow you to import videos.
The thing is, for this project I need to have different layers of sound which is not doable with those DVD makers... I don't think a swf can be converted to MPG2 with working functions on DVD players.
