Yep I just read about it!! A better article I found http://ipl-championsleague-cricket-...1/anil-kumble-retires-from-international.html
Yeah it was bit sad moment to indian cricket fans that kumble (jumbo) was retried from indian cricket team.
I thought he would play the Nagpur test. Its a sad news but we should be happy as we had one of the best bowlers in the world playing for India.
Why u guys are sad, each player has their time,he is really a great bowler and helped India winning so many matches.
If I am not wrong, he is the only bowler in the world who bowled all 10 players in a test match, right??
One of the most under-rated cricketers of India, and that is simply because bowlers in India do not get the kind of attention that the batsmen do. Anyways, I am glad he did not stretch it further.
ya i heard his interview and he said he wanted to play more, but could not take anyone pointing finger at him , so decided to leave. a great batsman and will always be remembered.
well the most fantastic scene is when dhoni picked him up on his shoulders , they way he gave respect to anil kumble is really appreciatable no worries guys you will see anil kumble in action again in IPL
I think it is good for India as he didn't show good performance in recent months and it is also good for him as he will retire with pride.
Yes if any player can take retirement as very best then people respact them but if you are drop from the team and take it, it would't give any respect.
I think Anil took the right decision. He was a legend but that did not mean that he needed to carry on.......in spite of injuries. India could have done a lot better had Dhoni been Captaining the team in Delhi test too. Anil was at times very defensive and was just not up-to-mark in the bowling too..... I am glad he hung up his boots without much delay. Thats the way to go....Jumbo. He would surely be remembered for his great feat of 10 wickets in an inning..... Regards, RightMan
I agree to RightMan. Its rite time to take decision. We all know what is going on the Ganguly's case. So its better to retire yourself instead someone else point you. I really appreciate the great Anil Kumble's decision. Now its time to other senior players to think about it.
