LONDON (Reuters) - The Church of England's governing body faces a bruising battle over consecrating women bishops that could spark a mass exit from the Anglican Church by disgruntled traditionalists. The issue of the "stained-glass ceiling" stopping women rising up the church ladder ranks with the ordination of gay clergy as one of the most disruptive in the Anglican Church. These people are changing fundamental things in Christianity. Instead of focusing on how to teach the public to have better families. More than 50% of all mariages end in divorce. And from what I see too many times women driven by selfish reasons initiate the divorce process. In the New Testament it is explicitly said that the woman must be silent in the church and be submissive to her husband: 1 Corinthians 14:34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 1 Peter 3 Wives and Husbands 1Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. 5For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, 6like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear. A woman cannot preach the word of God in the Church. The western family values have been destroyed by politicians and a handful of church leaders who are more politicians than church leaders. I know that many women know a lot about the New Testament, but by becoming bishops they themselves disobey it. So how can they preach something which they don't practice? Smells more like politics than true religion. Now instead of being one of the moral pillars in the Christian family too many women believe they can live better by themselves of course after taking half of their husband's possessions, and by getting child support ...... and alimony. I wouldn't twist the teaching in the New Testament to make happy anybody. It is in nobody's interest to go against the Christ's teaching. Everyone is responsible before God for his actions. Period. Sooner or later will be held accountable. Consecration of gay bishops is trully destroying the true morals of our societies. People with mistaken sexual orientation or behaivior shold not be allowed to be church leaders. Gay marriages are pretty much doing the same thing - destroying the morals in the societies they live in.
Religion has for a long time been justification for bigotry, sexism and homophobia. The passages confirm this. Maybe the anglican church should have it explained to them that sexism, gender superiority and homophobia aren't allowed anymore. So unless they can figure out a way of getting back to the bronze age in some kind of time machine they are just going to have to stop it. I like these sorts of stories because it demonstrated how religion is falling apart because of the 21st century. As humans progress further and further with social standards and science religion is left crying in the corner thinking about the good old days when having an opinion on what someone does with their penis was any of their business, When kids believed any old shit they were taught and when women done as they were told and kept quiet.
Are there any truly honest and with high morals atheists? I don't know any. The western societies get more and more corrupted thanks to all those freedom fighter atheists.

After gay marriage and now this, I'm not surprised that people run away in droves from the churches. These are all political stunts to attrackt but that will backfire sooner or later. Nevertheless, the clear message of a real church has the focus on Jesus and his love and not carnal desire.
