Are there such legitimate apps which would pay me a few cents per day just for keeping them on my phone? I can open them every day and use for a few minutes. But I want actual money. I know of one such app which is developed by local mobile network and it gives a few reward points everyday just for opening it. After a month or so I can convert the reward points into mobile topup. But it is local app and can only be used in my country. If anybody knows of any more of such apps which pay in paypal or any other currency please share.
What possible benefit could there be to the app maker to have their app on someone's phone but being used for only a few minutes? They're not earning significant ad revenue You're not going to be a "brand ambassador" I can't see how you would "earn" that money. Looks like you want money for nothing. Or am I missing something?
Hi Sarah, Trust me I understand that nobody wants to pay me for doing nothing. As I said there are companies out there like the one I mentioned mobile network which gives reward points daily. These rewards can be claimed once a day and then converted into mobile topup. These companies have millions of $ marketing budget. They have the budget to pay for TV commercials, youtube ads and roadside billboards etc which costs a lot. So few cents a day to their customers who have installed their app is investment for them. I am looking for similar apps which can pay me more.
@newbie191 How many reward points do you get with each use, and reward points give a recharge of how much? Thanks
lol, if a mobile network is giving you a top-up they're spending $0 while getting advertising revenue from the "ad impressions". By opening their app they're reinforcing their own brand and ensuring that you don't switch to a competitor. If you want actual money you'll have to come up with a way a company can leverage off an app being passively on someone's phone but earning the app producer enough that they can afford to share the revenue. Once you've worked that out, write the app and get really rich. FWIW I do have an app called sweatcoin on my android but they give you discounts on things I don't want to buy and can if I did there are cheaper local alternatives.
He's asking for an app where someone pays him a few pennies a day for occasionally opening it......................... what is wrong with you people? You want to inconvenience yourself and open up your privacy for a dollar a month????? Stupid.
Exactly. You have to put yourselves in the shoes of the app owner. What benefit are they getting? How much time do they need you to be looking at the app to get a ROI? If you don't need to have the app open how are they earning money from you?
What privacy? When you are using a google product, what privacy are you talking about? Everything you do, is already getting logged at google servers. And if an app is giving some reward points for using it, what is wrong with that? Its just a marketing method. Some 7-8 years back, wasn't google paying webmasters a dollar for chrome download... So many stock brokers add some credit in your accounts when you sign up. How is this different?
Well, not really, not for the honour of being on my phone LOL, but google did pay for being in my laptop, $1 to the webmaster who gave me a link for chrome download from their site. Its just a marketing method, I honestly don't see anything wrong in it. The company will do marketing, they plan to spend millions. So instead of running TV ads etc for millions, they chose to give some reward points to their customers. In certain cases this marketing method can prove very effective.
They paid you once, right? And you had to do something to earn it, right? @newbie191 wants ongoing income for doing nothing more than installing. So maybe $1 for the install but why pay over and over again when the app isn't getting used?
He is using the app everyday, the reward points are for that, for opening and using it everyday. He wrote this in his first post. Nothing is paid for downloading it I think. Its like what quora did. They paid people for posting questions and answers on quora. Paid people for using their website. They don't do it anymore. Its a good marketing method, provided you have somewhat big money to pay. Works very good.
@sarahk Quora is popular now. They come up in many many search results of google. Lots of political parties are active there now, along with their followers. They don't need to pay to people to use their website anymore. Job of that marketing strategy is done.
The marketing strategy about this (earn as you use app or service), is that, the company knows that if they reward you after using their app, you will surely tell your friends about it, and that gives them more customer, money, and cheap Advert, is all about marketing Strategy.
