I realize there is only a couple of us main distributors but I thought why not talk about how the market has burned and crashed. During Nov. I'd get a sale a day and I figure that's a good start to a fresh company since mine has only been established in the Summer. In the past it was common that new webmasters would use an arcade script because you learn a lot from them. They do get traffic easily with a little promotion, and they can make good money. The adsense CTR is horrible, but you get more clicks so its even. I'm afraid to say that I think this trend is over. I've been noticing blackhat offers are comming straight out in the open at DP, and people seem to be trying to grab offers such as "only 30minutes of work for $10!!!" type topics. The new webmasters are not showing off their arcade's enough. I remember when I started my first Arcade Script and it and I worked on it for a couple of months really hard and then it got to the point that anyone who saw the site wanted the website script because they saw the money I was making. 100's of people got arcade scripts because of me. I decided to distribute much later. Also, there is like 1 new arcade script distributor a week comming out. It seems everywhere I look there is some guy tying to sell a new arcade script. And then you don't see them ever again. One day I think the sellers are going to out number to buyers. This week I'm trying anything possible to beat this problem. I've already listed my script on about 60 webmaster forums like Digitalpoint. I'm planning on trying for 400 by the end of this week. I've done a bunch of other stuff. I plan on sitting with this promotion and one more week will tell if the market is totally gone. Anyone think it will come back? Is any other Niche suffering?
when i see you script, why would it near enough the same as AV older type script. I dnt understand, do you 2 have the connection?
We do. A while back I bought the rights to distribute AV Arcade Version 3 from Andy, then I disappeared for a couple of months to make a business plan. The script is close to the same. I've just speeded it up, cleaned it up, optimized it better, etc. I was planning on getting a whole new version one day, but I ca'nt really code the whole thing myself, and there isn't enough new arcade webmasters around.
