Thank you for confirming that the universe is expanding and therefore you or anyone else cannot give me an accurate estimate (you are still able to show your evidence as requested).

We draw the conclusion that because we cannot measure the universe, it does not exist based on your reasoning?

"It was during the 1920's that Edwin Hubble provided the first evidence that we live in an expanding Universe. Hubble discovered that there is a simple relationship between the distance to a remote galaxy and the redshift in the spectral lines from that galaxy. This redshift is know as the cosmological redshift. Hubble's observations showed that the greater the distance to a galaxy, the greater the redshift in its spectral lines. These measurements strongly indicated that galaxies appear to be moving away from us with speeds proportional to their distance. This observation is made in whatever direction you may look in the sky, giving the (false) impression that our solar system is at the centre of the Universe. The net effect of this motion is that as time goes on the galaxies are getting further and further apart. Astronomers describe this as an expanding universe.

A very simple analogy may be drawn with the blowing up of a balloon on which a number of reference points have been marked. The balloon is illustrative of the Universe and the reference points galaxies. As the balloon is inflated each reference point moves further away from the other, so from any reference point within the balloon every other reference point appears to be moving away from the observer. The observer does not have to be at the centre of the balloon to make this observation. Where this analogy breaks down is that, on the skin of the balloon the reference points will expand, as well as the distance between them. In the Universe the expansion takes place in the space between the galaxies. The galaxies themselves do not expand.

A very important consequence for observations which lead us to infer an expanding Universe is that at some point in the past the matter which is becoming increasing distant must have been concentrated all in one place. Astronomers believe that at this point in time, the beginning of the Universe and the beginning of time, all the matter of the Universe was concentrated in an infinitely small volume and was in a state of infinite density. This time can be calculated by a number of different methods. [For further details see the section on the Age of the Universe.] The huge explosion which led to the expansion of the Universe is the event known as the Big Bang."

Can you answer my latest question or shall we end the discussion? since it seems you are so stuck you have to copy and paste information from elsewhere.

Solar, FYI "measure" doesn't only mean "take a measuring tape and stretch it all along and look at the numbers" as your limited understanding seems to believe. The universe is being "measured" all the time by people, satellites, and all sort of instruments in many ways. Many of the properties of the universe and its components can be observed, measured and analysed. That we don't know HOW BIG IT IS is doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Sorry if this is too complicated for you but it's the way it is.

I'm sure Seqqa is brave enough to deal with this on her own, we can talk another time.

You are pretty stupid that is a factual. I explained why it can only be an estimate, maybe you should try studying maths more. God isn't a theory because nobody can explain how it would work in practise, if God was even a reasonable arguement.

Should we all start believing that a Harry Potter book is for real and magic is real, because the book mentions that the sky is blue and well fuck me if you look out the window the sky is blue! This book is the word of the real Potter the creator of all things great and small! No shit, you should like spread it to as many people as possible to protect yourself from the dragons.

I am not trying to help Seqqa, I was trying to show you how idiotic this statement was:

I'm not trying to disprove evolution. I'm trying to point out that people take scientific studies too factual when much of it is just entertainment. Heck they are teaching this total crap in school and its all just hockus pokus.
So let me get this straight. If I go to college and be a scientist then I get to randomly make stuff up and if its believable than it will be taught to many others as common knowledge?
The 99.5% is the people going with carbon dating for all of this time when they knew it was just a bunch of random guessing.
Should I read this before? or after?; I find a dinosaur fossil then take it to Montana then make up a random new dinosaur species from the leg fossil, then make up a random date that it was alive(and make it exciting by adding millions of years).
This is not a religious debate, but since you are talking about facts and the fact that God has never been disproved. Rabbits in the forest alone walking, talking, and having meeting has never been disproven either, but it doesn't qualify as its a fact they do because of that.
No, it was confirmed. The Fossil was found in the Formation where most Tyrannosaurus' are found, and it matches 100%. It was a very good specimen.
Your kidding with us right now. lol, that was a serious Pee-wee line right there.
I hope they measure universes better than they randomly measure fossil dating or some random d00d just guess's those light-years..............
Maybe they are just making it all up just like they did for carbon dating. lol:) Maybe its not even expanding.

Correct I was taking into account that he already understood this as I thought it was common knowledge. If he/she/it didn't then LOL I'm off.

Maybe the war on terror in Afghanistan and Iraq is totally bullshit I mean it's not like we've ever been there and seen it for our own eyes. Maybe all the pictutes are photoshoped and all the news reports staged in Hollywood.

I like the way you think it's pretty fascinating.

UMMMM yeah......The war in Afghanistan can be easily found out to be real or false by people by the millions. Its a completely different situation. Things like the Ozone, center of the earth, global warming, the universe, Planet X(or whatever the hell they call that thing), etc are not something that can be easily found out to be true or false. For example CARBON DATING which is COMPLETE BULLSHIT as blood celling cannot live MILLIONS OF YEARS, ASS.

Maybe you shouldn't twist things around. What you said was totally retarded. You compared a basic situation to a unprovable theory. I'm not going to keep educating you on basic common sense like I just have. That's up to your mother or education.

Explain, no seriously I really wanna know how you can prove right now here that the war is real and not staged by a mix of the goverment and media. Yeah I agree totally differnent , a vast difference between them, little bit like the vast difference between like my right hand and my left hand. Not something that can be easily found out by the general public but yet you seem to have all the answers to everything. What inteligence service you working for do they have groovy little prizes, for how much crap you can spead?

What I said stood ground, it's you who is retarded because I suppose all this carbon dating is bull is stuff you've just read around. I guess you love conspiracy theories, hey did you ever find out if the goverment blew up the world trade center or you still working on more evidence that dosn't exist for that one?

The God has not been disproved is a bad line.

The funny thing is its been said since the 50's, but the problem with this line is that it doesn't help if God exists or not. Its basically a pointless statement. There's plenty of things that have not been disproved.
Another thing is you know absolutely NOTHING about paleontology, dinosaurs, etc and you are still in the topic. That goes for the half of you.

No, I'm not explained the concept again. Go screw yourself.

Ummm.....I am a Paleontologist. This is one of the things I do for a living. I do believe in a lot of conspiracys though. The world trade center is one of the one's that I don't care about.
Idiot. Your examples and Metaphors are retarded. They don't make any sense.
