Anchor Usage

    I am pretty sure I know the answer to this, but just want to double check. If a page is linked to with an anchor parameter, the "credit" for that link goes to the actual page itself, right? I think Google is smart enough to not separate it out as a different page, but just wanted to double check.

    yes, you are right.

    if the anchor txt is given with anchor parameters , link goes to main page.

    this one and this one are the same urls for google :):)

    yeah try not to stress...you will get the credit for that link. Otherwise half of my blogs would be dying due to the link formats etc :)

    yes to the page itself but to the portion of the page where you refer
    so from the PR side of view, there should be no difference if you add #, but for the SERPs, there may be
