    The thing about anchor texts in SEO is simple: your backlink's anchors should look "natural". Meaning that if your sites is about "real estate" not all backlink texts should contain "real estates" -- Google might punish you for that.

    One of today's tactics is keeping 50% of backlinks with your main keyword, 20% with secondary ones, all the rest having something else like no-titled images, texts of far relation to your keywords.

    Here's an example: "Our store offers the top ten brands of dog food."

    The words "dog food" are the anchor text of that (simulated) link.
