anchor text

    I here people say that it is important to use anchor text when submitting to directories, im wondering how exactly it should be applied. Would you place something like this <A HREF="target">anchor text</A> where it requests the title or the url? Could someone please enlighten a noob.

    When Submitting your site to Directories your Title is your Anchor Text. If you were submitting some kind of banner or image it is important to add Anchor text to the image.
    example:
    <img src="http://www.us-realestateagents.com/images/smallbanner.gif" border="0" alt="Real Estate Agents"></a>
