anchor text question!

    k i have a question about anchor texts
    like check my signature it says

    bodyboarding morey bz bodyboards

    so does that link help me with the following keywords seperately as well as combined like below
    bodyboarding
    bodyboards
    morey bodyboards
    bz bodyboards

    Marginally... if you want to target the specific keywords you are betting off splitting up your links for each keyword group.

    Why not design a page for each type / make of bodyboard? Optimise each page and get concentrate on anchor text on each page.

    Whilst I'm on the subject of anchor text - I am writing an article to people who no nothing about SEO, and I'm trying to find an article or a easy to understand way of explaining what anchor text is.

    It helps for individual words much less. Split up your links into the brands you want to target.

    i need the main keywords more such as bodyboarding and bodyboards
    i figured i would just throw the brands in
    so should i just do one word like bodyboarding by itself ?

    If users are not searching for all the words in the anchor text then you are better off with just the words they are searching for. Each extra word dilutes the strength of the link for searches with fewer words.
