Anchor Text of Blog Commenting

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by Digital_Gary, Jan 26, 2010.

I'm planning on doing a lot of blog commenting for my site and was wondering should the name (anchor text) of the blog be the keyword i'm trying to target or should it be my name?

    Thanks,
    Gary

If you use real name, a higher chance to get approved is waiting.
but if you use your niche and blog owner is a little smart, you may even get banned / spammed.

IF you use your real name, that might not be good help in SEO. If you use the keyword only, most probably your link will not be approved.

Read about something called KeywordLuv and search google for "uses KeywordLuv" (with quotes). In these places, you can use both. :)

If you use your real name then you will probably get a lot of approved comments but if you are using the keywords then you will surely rank fast on that keyword.

some webamsters are allowing keywords on the comment section. you just have to find them yourself.

Your best bet is to get a feel of the blog. Look at other comments and see if keyword optimised anchor text is generally allowed. If so, then opt for using the keywords you wish to target.

If somebody is using KeywordLuv plugin, that means the person is wanting to allow people to use keywords.

Also, most of the times, these blogs are dofollow as well.

Keywordluv is your friend in this case. Very rarely some webmasters allow using keywords instead of 'name' but one never knows when they will change their mind :)

Yeah I agree jitendraag. I don't think webmasters will allow keywords but a link is still pretty nice even though it's your name.

Just search in Google with "uses KeywordLuv" (with quotes) and all the listed domains allow it.

"uses KeywordLuv" is the way to go...but, hopefully these will not be penalized in the future.

I would recommend to use variations of the keywords or phrases that you are targeting. Don't build all the links using the same anchor text or this will look un-natural. If you need help locating blogs that allow for permanent, do follow links that are related to your niche please let me know.

I use blogs that are powered by disqus in the same manner as some of you using keywordluv.
