Anchor Text Limit

I'm trying to join the Coop Ad program. I just created my first ad. I typed in my anchor text, URL and URL for Banner Ad.

After I submitted my data, I see the anchor text that I submitted was truncated. Is there a limit to how long the string can be? It looks like about 53 characters are the limit.

At the bottom there is a field called description. I can't seem to enter any text in this area. What is the purpose of this field?

you need to choose text ad and then you will be allowed to add a description.

 

Make sure you select the text ad option - it's banner by default. If you leave it set at banner it won't let you type text.

 

Thanks...What about the character limit on the anchor text? In the dialogue box it allowed me to enter everything I wanted but after I submitted, the text was truncated to 52 characters. Is this the limit to anchor text?

 

Seems logical to me. I'm sure if it's not Shawn will post the correct character limit.
