Anchor Text Length

From what I can tell, the anchor text length for any ad can be up to 50 characters... when you have 5 lined up in a footer, if some of them are that long, it can make for a very wide footer... any way we could maybe limit it to 25 or 30? People really shouldn't be using anchor text longer than that anyways...

Sorry... it's going to stay at 50.

    Not complaining - just curious.

    A few...

    • Unicode characters can take up to 3 bytes per character. So even as it is, depending on the language, there is a 16 character limitation already.
    • More importantly, 50 characters is not unreasonable. For example Mesotholioma Lawyer In Pennsylvania would be a perfectly legitimate anchor text, and it has 35 characters.

    Yeah, I suppose. ;) That's why you're the man, and I'm just a "Berserker" ;)

Is there a size limitation on how big the font has to be on the page? ;)

No, there is not a size restriction.

Hmmm... maybe I'll shrink it a little bit more then, so it doesn't look as funny. ;) Thanks again, Shawn. :D

I had to do that; shrink it a size to get it to fit on the top left of my pages. some of the anchors with all caps messed up my table formatting

Yeah, all CAPS and really long ones are still throwing me off... I'm going to keep playing around with them, though.
