Hey. I have my keyword in my domain name. Does that mean I don't have to put any anchor text, just type the domain and it will automatically index the link as anchor text? Example. I want to promote "tibia download". My domain name is http://tibiadownload.net Can I just type the url instead of having an anchor text and still promote my word "tibia download"?
You can, But having your links Anchored will always be a bonus, so do it whereever you get a chance to make it anchored with your keyword.
It is good that you have your anchor text in your domain name, but you need that you must have to use your anchor texts properly in the off-page optimization of your website.
Anchored would be better. Also try to vary your anchor. This will seem more natural and will probably be rewarded by google.
It's better than not because people will often choose to use those keywords when they link back to you. But if you want to rank you still should use anchor text separated keywords not just your domain name. And if you are smart about it you should when using your domain as anchor text link as: "http://TibiaDownload.Net" or in my opinion better: "www.TibiaDownload.Net" and be sure you have your canonicalization issues worked out first. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canonicalization You are after all marketing your brand. Try not to overlook the simple things... you make a lot more money when you pay attention to little details. I made the mistake with my name that I picked when I first signed up here... regret I didn't sign up as InternetMarketingIQ much more recognizable and brandable. Just a few Capitolizations and it really stands out.
you should do both. it is not safe anymore to use only one anchor to link back to your site. google will see it easily and smell over optimization. you should use anchor text variation for best result and using your domain for hyperlinking from time to time is always a good idea
Definitely still use anchor text (I would say with the majority of your links). As others mentioned, be sure to vary your anchor text.
