Hi guys, I have been reading up on anchor text and the first link rule. I get that if you have multiple anchor text links to the same page google will ignore all the anchor text except the first one. But what I can't get any information on is, what if the other anchor text links to different pages and not all to one page? or am I miss understand it?

This isn't exactly true. Let me break it down.

    Lets say you have:
    • Site A links to money site three times in one article and each uses the same anchor text. This will count each instance of the anchor text towards your anchor text distribution, but the link juice will be spread as if you have only one link.
    • Sites A, B, and C link to money site, each has one article and one instance of the anchor text. Again you'll have three instances of the same anchor text, but full link juice coming from each link/site.
    • Same rules from above apply if you're linking to separate pages on your money site.
That being said, don't have the same anchor text for your keyword more than 2-5% in 2014. Especially if you have an exact match domain (EMD).
