Anchor text as duplicate content

Let's go hypothetical to ask this one.

If I have a landing page that people can then go to an ebook page which I've given the description of "Every ebook in the world ever!"

Then let's say I get links with anchor text of "Free ebooks" which has the description "Every ebook in the world ever!" would this adversely effect my content as not being unique or doesn't it matter?

Should I change the description text to say something different like "Get any ebook for free!" ?

Neah, no way. That's the way to go!
However, adding a few more links with different anchor texts should be a good thing.

No, I believe Google will do 1+1=your page on this. Meaning it will see it logical to give importance to that page for those keywords ince a link, a description and content match those keywords.

I would keep it simple if your description says "Every ebook in the world ever!" I would use "Every ebook in the world ever!" :)

I tend to wordtracker and overture for other phrases I haven't thought of and include a few of them here and there if your link campaign is big enough. Even if they're not as highly searched as the main phrases it might help pick up a bit extra if there are only a few allinanchor matches.

Search engines frown on landing pages.

One way to do this with more link popularity would be via a prfree.com type service.

U should always vary your anchor textrs to make sure, it looks natural to google. I always use more than 100 different anchortexts for one url.

i think too much variety wont get you any traffic, like how many keywords are actually going to be relavant out of the 100?

I only have very large sites therefore, think of 5 different anchors for 20 pages is not that much...

What recommendations do you have for the length of time to volume of links. I have read that to many links to fast is a bad thing as it looks more like spam. Any feedback on an instance where someone was to aggressive in link building? Would Google think it better to build links slow and steady or peaks and valleys?

Aggressive link building might be bad.

I once read a post which spoke about how to get links on a regulated way. If you are interested PM me.. will dig and send it across :).
