Anchor link Question If an anchor text link that says “Shaker coat rack†would I still get credit for an anchor text link for “Coat rack†or is this just spliting hairs? I want anchor links for both just wondering if I should use Shaker coat rack or use both. Thanks
OWG What assumption? Use "Shaker coat rack" and call it good for both? or get anchor text links in "Shaker coat rack" and "coat rack" thanks Ed
Use variations of the keywords people will use to find your products. Concentrate on the most popular search term combinations.
the more incoming links to the page; i dont think it matters what the anchor text is too much. if you have a page and link to it enough times google will rank it for almost any (within limits of course) variations of words on the page - now, how well it ranks, thats another question.
I think the anchor text helps in the serps for the particular keyphrase. It does share - meaning if you use the phrase Lincoln Mark VIII Gold Package will also help in the serps for lincoln mark viii gold and Lincoln Mark VIII as well as Mark VIII lincoln. -BUT - you get stronger help if you list the specific phrase as its searched for. The more links into the site help but using this anchor text for those back links helps even more...
