I recently found that my website loads slower withanalytics javascript code embeded in it.
Is there any way to rectify this ?

A very good question. I have noticed sites like DP load slowly waiting for Analytics to load.

    ya its taking time.
Eventhough analytics is one of best tracking tool this slow load time can cause visitors to leave the site, especially those using dial up connection.

    Use the new code!

It's much faster, it's the ga.js system as opposed to the old urchin js.

Also, make sure that you place your tracker code just before the closing body tag. This will ensure that your page load at least renders fast.

    Yes, seconded!

I find it surprising that DP isn't doing either of these things?

Login to your Google Analytics account

    Go to "Analytics Settings"

Go to " Receiving Data (Check Status)"

Click on the "New Tracking Code (ga.js)" tab
