Recently, I have been updating my site pages with the new Google Analytics scripts. I was using urchin scripts. Originally, those scripts were placed just before the end body tag i.e., </body>. The new instructions -- specified insertion before the end head tag i.e., </head>. I was looking at a web site for someone claiming to be an expert in SEO and his Analytics script was at the bottom of the page -- however it was the new script. Does it make a difference? Q..
They recommend placing it towards the top of the page so that you get more accurate reporting. Personally, I always place the code in the footer or at the bottom of the page. And I've had no issues.
I'm sure you've heard it before. Tracking and testing your website is essential to growing a solid business. But the question still remains for many website owners, how exactly is it done? Is it possible to put a form of tracking code or script on a website? It is very possible and fairly simple to do as long as you use an easy tracking software program. There are many good ones on the market, but I'll share a good one that I use that tracks everything I need to build a budding empire.
place the scripts before </head> may generate more accurate results, but I'm not sure and I place scripts at footer before </body>
I have heard that now analytics script location is changed. now we have to install it before </head> tag. putting script before </head> will really make a difference.
I am not sure why analytics script placement has changed. putting the script at the top of the page is less noticeable than at the end of a page-- when reviewing source. I use the account on two sites-- qisoftware and hosting-q.com-- Putting my name in both headers means nothing. Putting google adsense and analytics scripts in both accounts -- shows ownership insofar as money, bank accounts, etc. I am having issues with ads and credit. tantamount to fraud. By the way, how does Google check page load timing? script placement affected?
Hii guys; I have placed my google codes at footer before</body>, But when i replaces place before </head> my web pages are start indexed more fast
did you mean loading or indexing? not sure why analytics code position has to have any impact on indexing.
