Is their a way to track in analytics how users are leaving my site? As in if their leaving through an external link, closing browser, etc...
Yeah just view your analytics report and then click and expand the "Content Optimization" if it isn't already, then expand the "navigational menu" in that menu, then click "Top exit points". -good luck
Also look at your Bounce rate % that will tell you how many people are "bouncing" off your site.. Hope this helps..... Bounce Rate (also called % Exit) is a term used in website traffic analysis. A Bounce occurs when a website visitor leaves a page or a site without visiting any other pages before a certain session timeout elapses. It is important to note that there is no standard minimum or maximum time limit a visitor must leave by in order for a bounce to occur. Rather, this is determined by the session timeout of the analytics tracking software.
That seems to just tell me from which page they are leaving from on my site. Is their a way to see how they left as in what action they took? ex: 50 people left my site from clicking on the mydomain.com text link in my navigation bar.
