Analytics Goals not showing in Funnel visualisation

    Hi,

I have gals set up to check how many people sign up and am trying a new approach by using a redirect page as the required step with the analytics code in the body BEFORE the redirect code (which ahs a delay of 2 seconds - i was told this was needed for it to register as a hit)

this redirects to the home page ( so that I dont have to set up a new landing page each time with different name etc) which is one of five other steps on the goal that I set up. The hit to the landing page is registered on my funnel visualization report so te re-direct page is working and also shows up on my top content report as hit, BUT, here is the frustrating part, the hits on the other steps and the GOAL PAGE ( i tested this and clicked the pages) has not registered.

does the page that the 'first step' redirects to have something to do with this, ( which is the home page of the website category) should my other goal steps NOT include this 'home-page' step ??????

Also on a separate note - if i have the same goal set up as outlined above, and have a norm al landing page for the 'first step' (not a redirect) does it matter if i do or dont include the other pages within this particular section of my websiite that people may click on before going to the GOAL page as other steps in the goal - does this affect the funnel visualisation report ??

many thanks in advance for any help you may have on this.

    Aaron
